Feeds

When surfing the net for news, it is useful to know which services report directly the most read and emailed news.

Wikipedia for 'web feed': "...data format used for serving users frequently updated content. Content distributors syndicate a web feed, thereby allowing users to subscribe to it. Making a collection of web feeds accessible in one spot is known as aggregation."

Some online newspapers report directly a ranking of the current most read articles; like the section "Most read news" from BBC. The BBC news website also has this section explaining what is a feed and how they are organized for their site.

Bloglines is a free online publishing service to visualize web feeds. It also has rankings and shows actualizations.

THis has nothing to do with the subject; but many people also use wordpress to publish blogs.

  • "Leer los blogs sin un feed reader es como tener 30 cuentas de mail y consultarlas Ășnicamente a travĂ©s de la web." (+ in this blog (Spanish)
